We offer a pick-up service from the bus and train stations in both Schenna and Meran. Please let us know in advance.
Enjoy our farm produce, which includes fresh cow's milk, a wide range of fruit, eggs, wine, bacon, various jams, etc.
The Krebishof
The Krebishof is an ancestral estate and a family-run business. It has been in the Pircher family for many generations.
The farmstead is located above the village of Schenna, 700 m above sea level.
The farm's main activities are fruit- and wine-growing and livestock farming.
Work on the farm is varied and diverse: you are welcome to have a look over our shoulder and experience the life of a farming family in South Tyrol. Every week during the rental period we will show you the many sides of our diverse farm, with visits to our orchards and our barns.
We explain our work rhythms within the annual cycle and show you how we live with nature.
Our family
This is our family: Sepp, Susana and our son Theo. Sepp's parents are also actively involved on the farm. Susana and Sepp have completed a specialist course for the Farm Holidays association in Bolzano.
Mobility and local infrastructure
Above the Krebishof a well-maintained Waalweg (one of the hiking paths that follow local irrigation channels) runs through the orchards and forests.
Very near our farm, just 5 minutes' walk away, is the parish of St. Georgen, which has a picturesque church and two well-priced restaurants. Just 150 metres from the farm is the bus stop. This tourist service stops here every hour from 8:30 am to 6:15 pm and will take you to the cable cars, the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, Verdines or the centre of Schenna (1 km away) in comfort. It runs from late March to early November and during the Christmas period. The regular public transport network bus from Scena to Merano runs throughout the year from 7:00 am to 8.30 pm. In the village centre of Schenna there are plenty of opportunities for shopping and a chemist's.
The opening hours are Mon-Fri: 8:00 am - 12:00 midday and 3:00 pm - 6:30 pm; and Sat: 8:00 am - 12.00 midday.
The bank opening hours are Mon-Fri: 8:15 am -1.00 pm and 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm. The post office opening hours are Mon-Fri: 8:00 am - 1:30 pm; and Sat: 8:00 am - 12:30 pm.
There are also two doctors on alternate duty from Monday to Friday.
The church, mausoleum, Schenna Castle and parks invite you to relax and recuperate.
There are many restaurants, pizzerias, bars, ice cream parlours, vineyards, wine taverns and alpine huts, which will be happy to welcome you!
