Scena lies on a sun-kissed hill above Merano in South Tyrol at 600 metres above sea level. The Krebishof is located at 700 metres above sea level and is surrounded by vineyards and orchards.

The municipality of Schenna covers an area of 48 km2 and stretches from the limits of the village of Meran (300 m) to the two local mountains: the Hirzer (2781 m) and the Ifinger (2581 m).

To hike in Schenna is to experience diversity: from leisurely walks to mountain tours. Visitors are particularly attracted by the large number of inviting mountain huts. Take a break, enjoy a delicious snack and soak up the sun's rays.
Customs and tradition play an important role in Scena. There are always parades, processions, church fairs, festivals and traditions.
Lovers of good food are aware of the extensive cuisine that awaits them in Schenna. There's everything from delicious home-made Knödel dumplings to a wide range of traditional local food.


Summer

Hiking: enjoy the natural fragrances and beautiful views, run barefoot through lush green alpine meadows or simply enjoy the natural environment.

After an active hiking trip, you can cool off in our panoramic pool, which offers a view of the Texel Group, or relax with a book on the sunbathing lawn. In the shade of the grapevines you will find ideal places to spend time together while the kids romp around on the play area.
Whether you are on a mountainbike or touring bike, trips along the River Passer (Passirio), through meadows and forests, or from hut to hut across the alpine pastures, are food for the soul.

There are 200 km of signposted trails: from the wild waters of the Passer over meadows and mountain pastures to the high alpine peaks of the Hirzer and Ifinger. Seven lifts and cable cars take you through almost every climate zone.

Castles and stately homes, proud farms and old churches. Schenna and the surrounding area casts a spell over everyone.


Autumn

Autumn is the best season in Schenna. It is harvest time and locals celebrate the grape harvest with Törggelen feasts. The leaves turn to autumn colours, farmers bring in the harvest and winemakers serve new wine.

With mild temperatures of up to 20 °C, Schenna offers traditional festivals, markets and plenty of traditional Törggelen feasts, which celebrate the grape harvest. Many huts and cable cars stay open until well into November. The golden valleys and hills, rich orchards and autumn-scented meadows are a real incentive for leisurely and challenging autumn hikes.


Winter

Take a breath of fresh air and get in touch with nature. The mild climate in Schenna attracts hikers in winter too. However, those who are into skiing and tobogganing also get their money's worth in the family-friendly Meran 2000 ski resort. The wintersports paradise of Meran 2000 is only a stone's throw away from Schenna, which means that guests can confidently leave their cars where they are. Just 4 km away from Scena (only 6 minutes by Skibus) is the Meran 2000 cable car, which will take you directly to the slopes.

    Take the exit marked "Ausfahrt Bozen Süd" onto the Bozen/Bolzano - Meran/Merano expressway, then take the exit marked "Ausfahrt Meran Süd". Shortly before Meran bear right on the minor road towards Schenna. After entering the village turn right after the Tannerhof; after 100 m turn left onto Pichlerstraße. After 1 km bear right and after 100 m you will find our farm.
